Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hard Landscaper to bring outdoor spaces to life through expert craftsmanship and creative design. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for constructing hardscape features such as patios, pathways, retaining walls, and garden structures. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse landscaping projects that transform outdoor environments into functional and beautiful spaces.
Duties
- Install hardscape elements including paving, stonework, brickwork, retaining walls, and decorative features using various hand tools and power tools
- Operate machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment to prepare sites and move materials efficiently
- Understand how to plan and mark out sites for excavation and preparation.
- Fit drainage systems to ensure proper water distribution for landscaping
- Collaborate with team members and clients to interpret design plans and execute projects accurately
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during construction activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Preparation of the ground and laying of turf.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with a focus on hard landscaping projects
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery such as excavators and power tools
- Experience in laying real and artificial turf
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools.
- Experience with drainage systems (acos, manholes, guttering etc)
- Familiarity with landscape design principles
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in outdoor environments
- Prior experience in maintaining safety standards on construction sites is highly desirable
- Full Drivers Licence
- 2 years min experience in building gardens, extensive skills in cutting and laying paving and understanding projects from beginning to end.
- Reliability and punctuality is essential.
Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hour
