Building on the success of our much-loved bakery in Purbeck, renowned for our artisan sourdough, award-winning Dorset Apple Cake and commitment to quality ingredients, we're creating a vibrant new space where guests can enjoy exceptional food throughout the day and into the evening.
We're looking for passionate, talented and enthusiastic chefs at all levels to join our kitchen team and help bring this exciting new concept to life.
About the Role
We are seeking chefs who are passionate about cooking with fresh ingredients, enjoy working as part of a supportive and energetic team, and take pride in delivering high-quality food.
Working alongside our Head Chef, you will help create and deliver a menu of seasonal brunch and lunch dishes, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. In the evenings, our focus shifts to serving freshly made pizzas in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new opening where you'll have the chance to contribute ideas, develop your skills and help shape the food offering from day one. Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for chefs who are eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook high-quality brunch, lunch and evening menu dishes
- Work with seasonal ingredients to create fresh, exciting food for our guests
- Support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team during service
- Assist in the preparation and service of freshly made pizzas during evening shifts
- Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
- Follow food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures
- Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and efficient at all times
- Assist with stock rotation, ordering, storage and waste management
- Work collaboratively to deliver a fantastic guest experience
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Commis Chef, Chef de Partie, Pizza Chef, Sous Chef or similar role is preferred
- A passion for fresh food, seasonal cooking and quality ingredients
- Enthusiasm for creating great brunch and lunch dishes
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Reliability, flexibility and the ability to work evenings and weekends when required
- A team player who enjoys contributing to a positive kitchen culture
- Experience with pizza preparation is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
