Are you an organised and motivated individual with a passion for supporting communities? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Support Officer to join our Housing Service and contribute to the successful delivery of resettlement support services.
The Role
As the Support Officer - Migration, you will provide administrative and coordination support covering a range of tasks. Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing the group inbox and responding to general enquiries
- Liaising with external partners and internal teams to coordinate financial tasks
- Coordinating communication and information in a professional and sensitive manner, both internally and externally.
- Maintain records accurately and efficiently ensuring confidentiality
- Coordinating safeguarding requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and attributes:

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
Please note this is a fixed term contract until 30.8.27 (Secondment opportunity)
