Overview
We are seeking experienced and reliable self employed Subcontractor to join our team for a variety of construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse building sites mainly farms settings, applying specialised skills across multiple trades. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing their own workload efficiently. All positions are paid, reflecting the value of your expertise and contribution to our projects.
Duties
- Perform groundwork activities i.e excavating, levelling and laying concrete, installing concrete walling panels and general ground work. We would also welcome any specialised skills in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, fabrication, and other related trades.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks to high standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate work schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage materials and equipment on-site, ensuring proper storage and usage.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during construction activities and implement effective solutions promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in one or more of the following trades would be preferable but not essential: carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work.
- Demonstrable knowledge of hand tools, power tools, fabrication techniques, and safety procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges on site.
- Valid relevant qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential if extensive experience is demonstrated.
- Must have a valid driving licence for transporting tools or materials between sites. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, be committed to delivering quality workmanship, and adhere strictly to health and safety standards throughout all activities.
