Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods through the supply chain. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of logistics, warehouse management systems, and process optimisation. The Warehouse Manager will play a vital role in maintaining safety standards, improving operational efficiency, and supporting organisational growth.
Duties
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of productivity and safety.
- Manage utilisation of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and transportation management systems to optimise workflow.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely delivery and distribution of goods.
- Monitor profit & loss statements related to warehouse activities and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accuracy in documentation and adherence to schedules.
- Manage forklift operations and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Analyse supply chain performance metrics using systems such as AS400 to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop strategies for process optimisation including inventory control, layout planning, and workflow design.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of profit & loss management related to warehouse operations.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement practices.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and transportation management systems.
- Knowledge of 3PL providers and third-party logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, including documentation accuracy.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Solid background in supply chain management, logistics planning, and warehouse experience.
- Ability to utilise systems such as AS400 for operational analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities.

Pay: £24,420.00-£32,285.50 per year
