Location: Plymouth, Devon (covering the South West)
BLEC Group UK Ltd is a rapidly expanding NICEIC Approved Contractor specialising in electrical compliance, fire alarms, emergency lighting, smoke ventilation (AOV) and life safety systems. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team.
The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a wide range of commercial and residential apartment buildings.
Your work will include:
- Electrical maintenance and fault finding.
- Small installation works.
- Emergency lighting inspections, testing and repairs.
- Electrical remedial works.
- EICR remedial works.
- Minor electrical upgrades and improvements.
- Completing digital job reports and certification where required.
The majority of our work is within clean commercial buildings and residential apartment blocks. We do not carry out domestic house rewires or repetitive new-build housing work.
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- AM2.
- 18th Edition (BS 7671).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- ECS or JIB Gold Card preferred.
- Testing & Inspection (2391 or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
- A professional attitude with excellent fault-finding skills and attention to detail.

On-Call Rota
Current on-call is 1 week in 5, although this will reduce as our engineering team continues to grow. Call-outs are very infrequent, helping maintain a healthy work-life balance.
