Job Summary:
The Site Manager role is responsible for leading and driving performance across three sites within the City of London Lot 4 portfolio - Guildhall, Walbrook Wharf and The London Archives. Our goal is to deliver the best service to our customer, oversee the cleaning team and support their personal development with the support of the wider HW management team.
Responsible to the Regional Manager.
Cleaning services:
- To ensure the specification as set out in the SOW is met and customer expectations are positively managed.
- Responsible for completing monthly audits.
- Responsible for meeting monthly KPIs.
- Issue and control of staff uniform
- Control of materials and equipment, including repairs, stock control and ordering within an assigned monthly budget.
- Completing and using Company administration procedures.
- To provide and arrange cover and support as required.
- Monitor and provide updates for requests that come through Concerto.
- Respond appropriately to complaints and rectify ASAP.
- Responsible for managing internal audits.
- Sharing issues identified on audits with the relevant staff in the relevant area(s) and advising how they should address any issues identified.
- Involved in setting standards and redirecting staff activities to where they are needed (reacting to unplanned situations).
- Scheduling & monitoring of deep cleaning and periodic cleaning tasks.
- Stock order management.
- Ensuring operatives are trained appropriately on machinery across site.
- Escorting (or arranging the escorting of) external contractors.
Employees and HR:
- Line Management responsibilities for Supervisors and operative team.
- To ensure on-site team understand their roles, responsibilities and what is expected of them.
- Assisting and overseeing performance management.
- Management of holiday bookings along with appropriate cover.
- Overseeing a time and attendance system, ensuring arbitrations, failed duties and information is kept up to date and addressed on a daily basis.
- Assisting with HR practices, such as wellbeing meetings and managing staff welfare.
- Ensuring that employees have been trained to appropriate standards and identify training needs to support career development.
- Arranging/supporting/delivering refresher training/developmental training as required to team members.
- Responsible for guiding site supervisors to maximise both contract KPIs and their team’s personal performances.
- Team Building and promoting a harmonious working environment.
- To support recruitment procedures efficiently.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure that employees are adhering to HW’s H&S policies.
- Comply with current Health and Safety Legislation.
- Report H&S concerns through the appropriate channels within a timely manner.
- Being a Health and Safety ambassador and to take a proactive approach to Health and Safety Management, promote good habits and methods of work.
- Working closely with the H&S manager to ensure COSHH and Risk Assessments are completed for relevant tasks and training provided to operatives.
- Deliver safe working practices with the site.
Finance:
- Responsible for completing weekly timesheets for the three sites.
- Including additional cover & events shifts in the weekly timesheets
- Manage weekly Payroll report.
General :
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Delivering business strategy and ensure efficiency of services.
