Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling bar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a vibrant atmosphere while ensuring operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and manage bar staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are met consistently
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate smooth food production and service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and monitor inventory to minimise waste
- Develop innovative drink menus and promote specials to enhance guest experience
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and organised bar area in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality and service standards
- Organise staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
- Experience in hospitality roles such as serving, barista work, or hotel service is advantageous
- Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills
- Familiarity with health & safety regulations relevant to food service establishments
- Previous experience in culinary roles or hotel environments is desirable
- Exceptional communication skills with a professional attitude towards guest relations

Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
