An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Radiographer/NMT to join the Nuclear Medicine team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. This post is for a candidate with Nuclear Medicine experience and an interest in Paediatrics. The Nuclear Medicine department provides diagnostic imaging for patients from 0- 18yrs old with a variety of conditions. The procedures you will be involved in include renal, lung, gastric, neuro and oncology examinations. The department currently has 3 gamma cameras including an Intevo SPECT CT. The department will also be expanding into the new GOSH children’s cancer centre including installing state of the art PET/CT.
You will be joining an existing team of Radiographers including the Superintendent Technologist, Band 7 Static Nuclear Medicine Radiographers/MTO and Band 6 Rotational Radiographers. It would be expected that the post holder would be employed on a 9-5 Monday to Friday shift. You will be working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team in providing this service. Good communication and leadership skills with excellent team working abilities are essential for this post. Research opportunities and study leave are actively encouraged and staff within the department take active roles in national and international conferences.
