We are looking to recruit Support Workers for two young men in New Hartley, Whitley Bay.
"I am a lively young man who will be moving into my own home in New Hartley after recently leaving school. I love the outdoors, going for walks and running around in my garden. I am going to live in my own home in New Hartley and require 2 people to support me through the day and night. I make deep connections and relationships with the people who know me well. I am non verbal but have technology to help me communicate. I want to be supported to live my best life by going out to places in my car and going for walks and experiencing new opportunities. I have a learning disability, autism, adhd and ocd and I love to be on the go and out in the fresh air."
"I am also moving to my own home in New Hartley and require 2 people to support me. I have a rare neurological condition and severe learning disability. I am full of smiles and very much enjoy the people around me and need your full attention. I need support with every aspect of daily living, and I use a wheelchair. I need staff who want to help me to lead my best life, to socialise, so I can enjoy my team and pursue a range of activities each day. I love swimming and this will be part of my plan each week."
Full training and development opportunities will be provided.
We are looking for kind, person centred people, with the right values to be support workers within the teams and who have the commitment and resilience to learn how best to support each person. In each team we have 2 support staff each day and night and shifts will run from 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am.

We are interested in hard working, enthusiastic individuals who have the drive and resilience to provide excellent support. Contracts can be offered ranging from 18 to 36 hours per week. You will be required to work on a rota basis which includes a share of daytime, evening, weekend and waking night duties. We plan rotas in advance to aid your work/life balance.
