Forklift Truck Driver
Location: Ladywell Sawmill, Kirriemuir, Angus, DD8 5PD
Contract: Full time, permanent.
About the role:
We are looking for a Forklift Truck Driver to join our busy Sawmill. You will be part of a team responsible for creating a range of timber products as well as moving, sorting and packing timber. Whilst a lot of the tasks are automated, there will be some degree of manual handling, lifting, bending and twisting.
Hours of work are 42.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Picking, wrapping and strapping customer orders for delivery
- Load/unload trucks using a forklift
- Maintaining good housekeeping standards across the site and work areas
- Adhering to Health and Safety protocol at all times
Skills and Experience:
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
- Be available to work Monday - Friday
- Have experience of operating sideloaders and forklift trucks
- Have a strong work ethic and be reliable
- Must hold valid forklift licence
- Be safety conscience
