Hotel Celebrity Bournemouth is a well-established 4-star hotel located on Bournemouth's beautiful East Cliff, just a short walk from the beach and town centre. We are part of Villare Hotels & Leisure, an expanding independent hotel group with properties across the UK.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Duty Manager to help lead our day-to-day operations and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

The Role
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift. You will work closely with all departments, ensuring high standards of guest service and operational excellence.
This is a varied role involving:
- Reception & Front Office
- Restaurant & Bar
- Food & Beverage Service
- Guest Relations
- General Hotel Operations
No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on and leading from the front.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception operations including guest arrivals and departures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure every guest has a memorable stay.
- Support the restaurant and bar during busy breakfast, lunch and evening service.
- Assist with conference and event operations when required.
- Supervise and motivate the team during your shift.
- Resolve guest queries and complaints professionally.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms and public areas meet company standards.
- Carry out daily operational checks and ensure hotel procedures are followed.
- Assist with stock control and ordering.
- Support revenue opportunities through room upgrades and guest services.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and company policies.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or hospitality supervisory/management role.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to lead by example.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable Experience
- Hotel reception experience
- Food & Beverage management or supervisory experience
- Restaurant or bar operations
- Guestline PMS experience (preferred but not essential)
- Personal Licence (advantageous)
- First Aid qualification (desirable)
