DRIVER & OFFICE FURNITURE INSTALLER
Location: Grays
Hours: Full-time
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Driving: Full UK driving licence required
Age: 25+ preferred/required for company insurance purposes
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Driver & Office Furniture Installer to join our team.
The role involves delivering to customers in London and carrying out professional specialist delivery and assembly at customer premises. You will be representing the company directly, so a friendly, professional attitude and good customer service are essential.
The position would suit someone who enjoys being active, working with their hands and meeting customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving company vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Delivering Goods to businesses and customers.
- Loading and unloading furniture safely.
- Installing and assembling office furniture on site.
- Positioning desks, chairs, storage units and other office furniture.
- Ensuring installations are completed to a high standard.
- Carrying out deliveries throughout the local area and further afield when required.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle.
- Completing delivery and installation paperwork where required.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Working as part of a team and assisting colleagues when required.
- Following company health & safety procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- 25+ years old for company insurance purposes.
- A holder of a clean, full UK driving licence.
- A confident and safe driver.
- Physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving furniture.
- Practical and able to use basic hand tools.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Well presented and polite with customers.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced in furniture installation, removals, deliveries or a similar role would be an advantage, but training can be provided for the right person.
Working Hours
The role involves three early starts per week, so applicants must be comfortable starting early when required.
Other working hours will be discussed at interview.
