Operations Manager – Commissioning and Assurance

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Social Work Resources Commissioning and Assurance Team, in Adult and Older People’s Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping high quality care services and ensuring commissioned care services are effective, sustainable, and deliver positive outcomes for individuals and their carers.
As Operations Manager, you will provide operational leadership to a team of Commissioning and Assurance Officers and Social Workers, bringing together a range of professional skills and expertise to support the planning, commissioning, contract management, quality assurance and performance monitoring of adult social care services. You will also have the opportunity to support localities with complex case management with a focus on managing budgets and resources effectively, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the Organisation and must possess the following:
- Experience managing staff within a social work, health, commissioning or social care environment.
- An understanding of adult social care commissioning, contract management, quality assurance and performance management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- The ability to work strategically while maintaining strong operational oversight.
- Experience of analysing and interpreting complex performance information to support decision-making.
- Knowledge of relevant social care legislation, policy and governance arrangements.
- A commitment to delivering person-centred, outcome-focused services and continuous improvement.
- A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent
Requirements
You must hold a qualification in Social Work (degree, post graduate diploma or equivalent) or other relevant professional qualification.
