Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Handyman / Roofer to join our team, providing essential maintenance, repair, and roofing services across our site in Huddersfield. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of construction skills, including roofing, and general repairs. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse tasks, contributing to the upkeep and improvement of our commercial property.
Responsibilities
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on roofs, including patching, replacing and sealing to prevent leaks.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out construction and repair tasks efficiently.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support various activities.
- Carry out plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, replacing pipes or fixtures as required.
- Help with organising and sorting our warehouse .
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction-related roles with a focus on roofing and general maintenance.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems and masonry work is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions.
