Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established financial procedures. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our financial records and assisting in the overall financial management of the organisation.
Duties
- Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
- Support month-end closing processes by ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Collaborate with team members to provide mentoring and guidance on financial accounting practices.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, contributing to effective financial management.
- Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and spoken).
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting assistance.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
