Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, and equipment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently to ensure they are ready for use
- Assist with food preparation tasks under supervision, such as peeling vegetables or organizing ingredients
- Support the storage and rotation of supplies to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Restock supplies in the kitchen and service areas as needed to support smooth operations
- Follow all hygiene protocols and safety procedures to uphold a clean and safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Strong understanding of restaurant or hospitality operations enhances your ability to support the team effectively
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items, standing for extended periods, and bending frequently
- Good communication skills to coordinate with chefs and fellow staff members
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards and safety guidelines
- Enthusiastic attitude with a proactive approach to supporting culinary operations
- Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
