Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant team in Soho. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, support the kitchen team, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Prior kitchen experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. A strong interest in cooking and food safety standards are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Support senior chefs in cooking various dishes, ensuring quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Follow hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
- Prepare ingredients and assist with portioning as required
- Support the team during service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Contribute to stock management by organising supplies and notifying of shortages
- Uphold high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout all tasks
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting of one years.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods is preferred
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Experience in meal preparation, serving, or related roles will be considered a plus
- Enthusiasm for learning culinary skills and working as part of a team is essential
