Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our student accommodation premises. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience or those eager to develop their skills within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in student spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas to meet health and safety standards
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as required
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners and floor polishers
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning duties to management
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a secure working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is advantageous
- Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to schedules and deadlines
