Level 3 Childcare Qualified Activities Assistant / Play Worker – Breakfast and After School Clubs
Locations: Southwark (SE1 / SE15 / SE16 / SE22)
Pay: £12.75 – £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Term Time, Part-Time, Permanent
Magna Groups, an Ofsted-registered provider of Breakfast, Afterschool, and Holiday Clubs, is looking for enthusiastic Activities Assistants / Play Workers with a level 3 childcare qualification to support children aged 5–11 in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.
Hours
- Breakfast Club: 07:30am – 09:00am
- Afterschool Club: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (Hours may vary by site)
Key Responsibilities
- Support and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
- Encourage children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Maintain a clean and safe play space
About You
- Experience working with children in a play, childcare, or educational setting
- Passionate, reliable, and engaging
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Level 3, Childcare qualification – essential
- Previously working experience with children
