Job Overview
We are hiring a reliable Production Worker for our clear ice manufacturing business.
The ideal candidate must have experience using a bone cutter/band saw and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
This role involves working in a fast-paced environment to support clear ice production processes, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining efficient operations and adhering to food safety regulations, including HACCP standards.
Duties
- Cutting and shaping ice blocks using production equipment
- Operating bone cutter/band saw safely and efficiently
- Packaging and preparing ice products for delivery
- Maintaining cleanliness and food-safe work standards
- Assisting with general production and warehouse duties
- Following workplace safety procedures
- Operate and monitor various production equipment with attention to safety and efficiency
- Assist in the preparation and packaging of the product according to company specifications
- Follow strict food safety protocols, including HACCP procedures, to ensure product integrity
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with hygiene standards
- Carry out accurate measurements using basic maths skills for ingredient handling
- Support inventory management by recording production data accurately
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during the shift
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a bone cutter or similar cutting equipment
- Comfortable with physical work and lifting heavy products
- Attention to detail and safety
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Experience in food production, manufacturing, or ice production
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Prior experience or knowledge of food production environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety regulations is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changing production needs
