Insight trans logistics ltd in Inkberrow Worcester are currently looking to recruit warehouse operative/ forklift truck driver to join their team.
Warehouse Operative/ Forklift truck driver
Job spec:
- Unloading, storage and loading of any incoming and outgoing consignments ensuring that operational procedures are followed. ranging from packages to heavy haulage consignments
- Communicate effectively with the warehouse supervisor to ensure detailed understanding of stock levels and goings on in the warehouse.
- Ensure the working environment is clean and a safe environment.
- Ensure all deliveries are checked to ensure the delivery has the correct number of consignments and undamaged.
- Fit and kit out trailers when required ready for STGO loads
- Ensure that any issues presenting a Health and Safety Hazard are brought to the attention of management and coordinators.
- Ensure the handling and movement of large consignments is done in a safe and controlled manner, with either Hiab or up to 15 ton forklift truck
- Ensure all handling equipment is operated by suitably trained operators and pre-use checks are completed prior to use, and paperwork is completed and filed in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure pre-use checks are completed prior to using manual handing equipment, and paperwork is completed and filed in a professional and timely manner.
- Also be required to help out on yard duties for example preparing trailers ready for there next load.
- Driving forklift trucks up to 15ton (training will be provided)
- Use of depot shunter to manouver trailers and equipment where required (training will be provided)
- Yard management and duties, ensuring the yard is kept well organised.
Ideal candidate
- Will need a good physical fitness level due to a high level of manual handling and the use of equipment
- Ability to adapt to all customer requirements
- History of using Forklift trucks. potentially up to 15 ton.
- Reliable and a good timekeeper
- Able to work within a small team, with effective communication skills.
- Presentable, polite and professional around the work place.
- Able to take the responsibility for your own and others safety whilst at work.
- Capable of working in a fast pasted and ever-changing environment.
