We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Senior Residential Support Worker / Shift Leader to join our Ofsted-regulated children's residential homes in Cheshunt and Tottenham, supporting young people aged 10–17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in leading shifts, supporting colleagues, and ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and professional practice are consistently delivered.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading shifts and acting as the senior practitioner on duty
- Delivering high-quality, child-centred care and support
- Building positive, trusting, and therapeutic relationships with young people
- Supporting young people with daily routines, education, activities, appointments, and family contact
- Providing guidance, mentoring, and support to Residential Support Workers
- Promoting safeguarding, positive behaviour support, and trauma-informed practice
- Completing and reviewing care records, incident reports, and other documentation
- Working collaboratively with social workers, families, schools, and external professionals
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment where young people can thrive
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within a children's residential setting or similar environment
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or be working towards it)
- Experience leading or supporting shifts within a residential childcare service
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, trauma-informed care, and behaviour management
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people
- A full UK driving licence (preferred)
