We have a vacancy in our team on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays – 20 hours per week. This is for a fixed term until the end of March 2026 with the possibility for the role to be made permanent.
Additional hours and days may be available during busy times, particularly school holidays, and preference will be given to candidates with flexibility to cover this.
You'll need to have some experience working in a professional animal care environment and at least a Level 2 animal care qualification. Ideally you'll be qualified to, or studying towards, Level 3 standard.
Main duties include cleaning, feeding and providing enrichment activities for the dogs and cats in our care. You’ll be outdoors a lot of the time and the work is physically demanding.
You should be able to demonstrate a genuine love of dogs and cats with an understanding of their needs in a boarding environment, time management, attention to detail, good communication and customer service skills along with competence with simple IT software.
Due to our rural location, you’ll need a full driving licence and your own transport.
Salary starting at NMW/NLW. Our staff turnover is low which we believe is due to a pleasant and rewarding work environment.
To apply, please send a covering letter and your CV through Indeed. Applications with a covering letter setting out why the role is of interest to you and how you fit the requirements of the role will stand out over a CV alone. Interview candidates will have a short informal interview and a work trial.
