Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated After School Club Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children after school hours. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive experiences, support children's development, and ensure smooth daily operations. Hours: The 1st postition will be Monday-Friday 14:30-16:30 during school term. The second role will be Monday and Thursday 14:30-16:30 during school term.
There will also be paid meetings every other week.
Duties
- Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Organize and facilitate fun, educational activities that promote social skills, creativity, and learning
- Assist with homework support and encourage positive behavior through constructive guidance
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, including activity areas and snack stations
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns
- Support with transportation duties if necessary, including driving children to local activities or events
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan daily schedules and special events that enrich the after school experience
Requirements
- Prior experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles is highly desirable
- Ability to engage children in a variety of activities with enthusiasm and patience
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus
- Passion for working with children and supporting their development in a safe environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and activity plans
- Basic understanding of child safety protocols and first aid knowledge is advantageos
Pay: £20.00 per hour
