Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures.
- Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment.
- Process dental radiographs (where appropriately qualified).
- Prepare and maintain dental materials, including cements and impression materials.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Support the wider practice team in delivering an excellent patient experience.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or Dental Assistant is preferred; however, full training can be provided for the right candidate.
- GDC registration is required for qualified Dental Nurses.
- Post-qualification skills are desirable, such as Dental Radiography, Oral Health Education, Sedation Nursing, Fluoride Application, or other recognised dental nursing qualifications. Support for further professional development may be available.
