Registered Manager –Adults Residential Service
Stoke-on-Trent
Full time, 40 hours per week
£42,000 – £45,000 per annum
Lead a brand-new service from the ground up
We're opening a purpose-built residential service in Stoke-on-Trent, designed to support up to six adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead it from day one.
This is a genuine blank canvas. There's no established routine or existing team to inherit you'll set the tone, build the team, and shape the service from the very first brick, ensuring everything is in place before anyone moves in.
What makes this service different
The service has been designed with real intention: a bespoke sensory room and a robust, therapeutic model of care sit at its heart. Every detail supports the people we care for to build independence, engage with their community, and take part in meaningful activities that help them live fulfilled lives underpinned throughout by a high-quality, person-centred approach.
Your role
- Lead the setup and mobilisation of the service from the ground up
- Recruit and shape a values-led, high-performing team
- Ensure the service is fully compliant, safe, and ready to welcome individuals
- Embed a therapeutic, person-centred model of care that makes a genuine difference
- Build strong relationships with commissioners, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Take full operational ownership as Registered Manager once the service is live
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager within residential or supported living settings (essential)
- A strong background supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and/or EUPD
- Confidence leading a service mobilisation or new setup
- Sound knowledge of CQC standards, MCA, DoLS, and Safeguarding
- Drive and ambition to build something excellent, not simply maintain what already exists
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
Benefits
- Competitive salary with regular pay increases
- Clear career progression pathways into leadership roles
- Fully paid training and induction
- Funded diplomas (Levels 2, 3, 4 & 5)
- Reward and recognition schemes
- Blue Light Card discounts
- Free online learning via Udemy
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
- Casual dress and 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays)
