The Role
This post involves working closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will support children both individually and in small groups, addressing their learning, social and emotional needs. The role also includes setting up and resourcing small-group activities, and working collaboratively with teachers and other Teaching Assistants to ensure high-quality provision and support.
We are seeking a teaching assistant who:
- Has experience of working with SEND pupils
- Has a passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Is patient, nurturing and adaptable in their approach
- Builds positive and respectful relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Works effectively as part of a team and shows initiative
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of every child

This post is 28.75 hours per week, term time only, and is subject to a probationary period. Should the child associated with this role leave the educational setting before this date, the academy reserve the right to end employment earlier in accordance with the terms of the contract and relevant employment law.
