Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Lead to oversee nursing home operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and staff management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in senior care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a compassionate approach to managing a multidisciplinary team within a residential care environment. The Clinical Lead will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a supportive atmosphere for residents and staff alike.
Duties
- Lead and supervise nursing staff, including registered nurses, healthcare assistants, and support personnel to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Oversee case management for residents, developing personalised care plans tailored to individual needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or hospice requirements.
- Administer medications accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed treatments.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive healthcare delivery, including laboratory testing and medical imaging when necessary.
- Provide specialised care for residents with complex needs such as ICU-level patients or those requiring assistance with mobility and disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and legal standards within the facility.
- Support staff training programmes on topics such as anatomy knowledge, medication administration, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Foster a caring environment that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for all residents.
- Manage administrative tasks related to staffing schedules, resident records, and regulatory documentation.
- Act as a liaison between families, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparent communication regarding resident health status.
Experience
- Proven experience working within assisted living environments or nursing homes.
- Extensive background in senior care including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice support, and home care services.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in healthcare settings; team management is essential.
- Familiarity with managing residents requiring specialised interventions such as ICU-level care or those with disabilities.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical procedures related to medication administration and patient monitoring.
- Experience working with children or toddlers is advantageous but not essential.
- Laboratory experience or familiarity with medical imaging techniques is desirable but not mandatory. The successful candidate will demonstrate compassion for vulnerable populations while maintaining professional integrity and organisational excellence. Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
