Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and professional Hotel Bar Tender to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service in a lively hotel bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, proficiency with various POS systems, and a thorough understanding of food and beverage operations. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate POS systems s accurately for order entry, billing, and cash handling.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests professionally, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage cash transactions efficiently, including cashiering duties and balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist in food service when required, including serving light snacks or catering orders during events or banquets.
- Monitor inventory levels of beverages and supplies; communicate replenishment needs to management proactively.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by verifying guest age and monitoring consumption.
- Demonstrate effective time management to handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar food service role within the hospitality industry, ideally hotel or fine dining restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, alcohol serving laws, and responsible beverage service practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math for inventory management, and accurate billing.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments during busy hours or events like banquets.
- Experience with food handling, catering support, or beverage brewing is advantageous.
- Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of service.
