Self-Employed Cleaner & Driver – Own Car Required
£16.00 per hour + mileage contribution + approved parking/travel expenses
Doctor Dust Cleaning is a growing professional cleaning company operating across London. We are looking for a reliable, experienced Cleaner & Driver with their own vehicle to join our network of cleaning professionals on a flexible, self-employed basis.
This is a combined driving and professional cleaning role. You will help transport members of our cleaning team to customer properties and work alongside the team to complete cleaning jobs to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible additional work who enjoys cleaning, is confident driving around London and has their own vehicle.
Responsibilities
Depending on the booking, your responsibilities may include:
- Collecting cleaners from agreed pick-up locations
- Driving cleaners to customer properties across London and Kent
- Driving the team between jobs where required
- Returning cleaners to agreed drop-off locations where required
- Transporting cleaning products and equipment
- Working alongside the cleaning team to complete jobs
- Deep cleaning
- End-of-tenancy and move-in/move-out cleaning
- Residential cleaning
- Commercial cleaning
- Ensuring you and the team arrive at bookings on time
- Communicating with our operations team regarding arrival times, delays or issues
- Maintaining a professional and respectful attitude when dealing with customers
- Following Doctor Dust cleaning standards and job requirements
Essential Requirements
You must:
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
- Have your own reliable vehicle
- Have appropriate insurance for the required use of your vehicle
- Be confident driving throughout London and surrounding areas
- Be comfortable transporting other cleaners and cleaning equipment
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be physically comfortable carrying out professional cleaning work
- Have good communication skills
- Be willing to travel to different customer locations
- Have some flexibility for early-morning bookings
Previous professional cleaning experience is strongly preferred.
Pay & Travel
Rate: £16.00 per hour
In addition to your hourly rate:
- An agreed mileage contribution will be provided for authorised business journeys using your vehicle
- Approved job-related parking expenses will be covered
- Other pre-approved job-related travel/vehicle charges will be covered where applicable
Full details of travel reimbursement will be agreed before work is undertaken.
Working Arrangement
This is a self-employed, flexible/ad-hoc opportunity.
Work is offered depending on customer bookings and your availability. There are no guaranteed minimum hours.
When work becomes available, you will be contacted with the job details and can confirm whether you are available to take the booking.
Work may be available Monday to Saturday, including occasional early-morning starts.
The amount of work available may vary from week to week depending on customer demand.
There may be opportunities for more frequent and regular work as the company continues to grow.
