TOR Coatings is a global company specializing in high-performance liquid coatings, paints, and protective systems for commercial and industrial buildings. We are looking to employ an aspiring laboratory technician to join our rapidly growing company; we can offer training, qualifications and progression opportunities.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the laboratory manager, your key responsibilities will include:
· Testing interim and finished samples of product
· Performing standard QC checks (colour, viscosity, pH, water content, strength tests, SG)
· Recording and documenting results
· Analyzing data from test results to determine potential issues & corrective action
· Uphold prompt delivery of each batch to the next relevant department
· Maintaining laboratory equipment & housekeeping standards
· Work safely & comply with legal & company regulations
Requirements
· Relevant qualifications in science are preferred but not essential
· Ability to use computers (particularly Microsoft Excel)
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
· Good at following processes and procedures
· Enjoying a collaborative working environment where supporting colleagues is key
· Good problem solving and critical thinking skills
· Good planning and organization skills
· Good at multitasking in a fast-paced environment
· Good timekeeping
· An understanding of QC practice, databases and SAP (although this will be trained)
· Help to deliver high standards across the organization
Standard hours
· 3 Shift Pattern (06:00-14:00 Mon-Fri, 14:00-22:00 Mon-Fri, 22:00-06:00 Sun-Thur)
· Includes 13 (06:00-14:00) Saturdays spread over the year
