The role
We are seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to support daytime transport operations from the Tuxford area. You will be responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections safely, professionally and on schedule while representing the business positively at customer locations.
Key responsibilities
- Driving an HGV Class 2 vehicle in line with road and transport regulations
- Completing planned deliveries and collections during day shifts
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects or issues
- Ensuring goods are handled securely and delivered in good condition
- Completing delivery paperwork and using relevant transport systems
- Maintaining a professional approach with customers, colleagues and site personnel
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Skills and qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence
- Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Digital tachograph card
- Good knowledge of UK roads and safe driving practices
- Reliable, punctual and organised approach
- Clear communication and professional customer service skills
- Previous commercial driving experience is desirable
