J & P Contracts (Angus) Limited are now in their 53rd year of trading and due to further growth and investment, the company are actively looking for Sheet Metal Worker's/Fabricator's to join our long established, family run company based in Carnoustie, Angus.
You will be responsible for manufacturing items to customer specification in various industries, with the majority of the work in mild steel however, we also work with Galvanised, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.
The role is on a permanent day shift with the potential of overtime when required.
The ideal candidate will be a time served fabricator/sheet metal worker, able to read, understand and fully fabricate items from start to finish from engineering drawings, Mig welding essential. It would be beneficial if you have experience of using CNC press breaks, folders, guillotines however this is not essential as in house training will be provided. TIG experience would also be beneficial but not essential. The ability to drive forklift trucks is desirable but not essential. Salary is negotiable depending on skill level. Starting rate of £16.25 per hour, rate will be reviewed on successful completion of probationary period. 33 days annual holiday on an accrual basis.
