Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Conveyancing Paralegal/Assistant to support our legal team specialising in property transactions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing conveyancing files, liaising with clients and third parties, and ensuring the smooth progression of property transfers. Duties
- Assist solicitors with all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions
- Prepare and review legal documents using Leap Software, Microsoft Word and other Office applications
- Manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date
- Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties via email or telephone
- Schedule appointments, deadlines, and follow-ups using case management systems to ensure timely progression of cases
- Conduct legal research and maintain accurate records of case progress
- Organise and file documentation both electronically and physically in accordance with firm policies
- Support the team in drafting correspondence and reports as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal procedures and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in Conveyancing or LLB is preferred
- Proven experience or strong interest in conveyancing or property law is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software platforms quickly
- Effective time management skills to meet deadlines consistently
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
