About The Really NEET Project
The Really NEET Project provides alternative education for young people aged 16-24 who have struggled to engage with mainstream education.
We believe that relationships come before results.
Our learners all have different stories, strengths and challenges, but they all deserve someone who believes in them. That's why we create safe, supportive environments where young people can rebuild confidence, develop resilience and learn the practical life skills they need to move forward.
We're now looking for a Life Skills Tutor to join our friendly Telford team.
About the Role
No two days are the same.
One morning you could be helping a learner build confidence through a life skills session. The next, you might be supporting travel training, running a practical activity or adapting your lesson completely because your learners need something different that day.
We're looking for someone who is calm, adaptable and enjoys building genuine relationships with young people.
Working with small groups of learners aged 16-24, you'll deliver engaging sessions that focus on confidence, communication, independence, resilience and preparing young people for adult life.
More than anything, you'll become someone they trust.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver engaging life skills and personal development sessions.
- Adapt activities to meet individual learner needs.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence and resilience.
- Support learners with SEND, EHCPs and other barriers to education.
- Help young people develop the practical skills needed for everyday life, education and employment.
- Work closely with colleagues to share ideas, resources and support.
- Monitor learner progress and celebrate successes.
- Occasionally support learner transport where required.
We're looking for someone who...
- Has experience working with young people aged 16-24.
- Can build trust quickly.
- Stays calm under pressure and thinks on their feet.
- Is flexible and happy to adapt plans when needed.
- Believes relationships come before results.
- Wants to make a genuine difference every day.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
Teaching qualifications are welcome, but they're not essential. We're far more interested in finding someone with the right experience, values and personality.
