Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating sewing machines and a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sewing and warehouse experience to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all sewn items meet our quality standards and are completed efficiently.
Working hours
Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 16:00pm
Friday 7:00am - 12:45pm
Duties
- Operate various types of industrial sewing machines to assemble and finish products according to specifications
- Follow detailed sewing instructions and work from technical drawings or patterns
- Inspect finished garments or items for defects, ensuring quality control standards are met
- Maintain and troubleshoot sewing equipment to minimise downtime
- Organise work area to ensure safety and efficiency during production processes
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
- Assist in inventory management by tracking raw materials and finished goods
Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
- Proven sewing skills, with the ability to operate different types of sewing machines confidently
- Familiarity with quality control procedures in a production setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Organised approach with attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Pay: From £13.50 per hour

- Sewing machine: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
