Production Assistant – Ipswich (IP6)
Pay Rate: £14.28 per hour
Overtime Rate: £21.42 per hour after 45 hours
Job Type: Full-time, ongoing
Smart Solutions are recruiting for a Production Assistant to join a busy recycling and production facility in the Ipswich, IP6 area.
This is a hands-on position supporting the day-to-day operation of the production plant, working closely with the wider shift team to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 2 weeks on days / 2 weeks on nights
- Day shift: 5:00am – 3:00pm
- Night shift: 5:00pm – 3:00am
- Shifts may occasionally finish later depending on workload
- Saturday overtime may also be available
Main Duties
- Assist with the day-to-day operation of the production plant
- Monitor production processes and equipment
- Assist with control room duties
- Communicate with different departments across the site
- Carry out basic equipment checks
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks
- Support machinery operation and resolve basic operational issues
- Maintain high standards of cleaning and housekeeping within production areas
- Follow all site Health & Safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Basic computer skills
- Good level of English
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment
- Practical, hands-on approach to work
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Previous experience within production, recycling or machinery operation would be advantageous, although training can be provided
This is a full-time ongoing opportunity with regular hours and overtime available.
