About the Role:
As Registered Manager, you will lead and develop our 3-bedded Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Children's Home in E12, ensuring children and young people remain at the heart of everything we do.
The home provides care and support for up to three young people aged 10–17 with emotional and behavioural needs, and you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care that promotes positive outcomes and meets all regulatory requirements.
You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the home, lead and motivate a dedicated staff team, maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, and drive continuous improvement through effective monitoring, auditing, and quality assurance processes.
The role includes managing referrals and admissions, safeguarding practices, care planning, staff supervision and development, occupancy levels, and partnership working with social workers, families, education providers, and other professionals.
We are seeking an experienced residential childcare professional with strong leadership skills, previous management experience within a children's home, sound knowledge of current legislation and safeguarding requirements, and a proven ability to support young people with emotional and behavioural needs. Applicants should have held a senior role in a Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and will be expected to hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed leader who is dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people while developing their career within a high-quality residential childcare setting.
