The Role
You will be collaborating with Fee Earners to ensure the efficient handling of a high volume of conveyancing transactions, from the initial instruction to the final completion stage. You will work closely with the team to expedite cases efficiently, upholding high client service standards. Additionally, you will liaise with our valued clients, members of the team, and support the management of all cases in line with service level agreements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with day to day communication with clients and third parties, to include
- Opening new files and sending out Terms of Business and Purchase and Sale Information packs to clients.
- Preparing written offers
- Assisting smooth running of cases when fee earners are absent in conjunction with Head of Conveyancing
- Managing ledgers
- Obtaining (and, where relevant, sending on) information from third parties such as:
- Mortgage lenders
- Factors
- Search providers
- Registers of Scotland
- Dealing with the following when required:
- Drafting discharges
- Completing LBTT returns
- Registration of deeds
- Answering and transferring calls into the team and dealing with queries
Who are you?
You will have
- Previous experience in a customer/client service facing role or experience in a previous conveyancing role
- Organised, punctual, and professional individual
- Motivated and proactive individual.
- Ability to deal with a number of competing priorities in a time-based environment
- Strong, clear, and concise communication skills with the ability to maintain client contact throughout the process
- Professional and confident phone manner and ability to provide excellent service to our clients
- Ability to work to deadlines on transactional work
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Computer literate, proficient with MS Office and ideally Lawware case management system
- Able to work autonomously but also within a team
