About the Role
At Premier Nine Elms, the role of Retail Assistant is central to our mission of delivering the best customer experience in our store. You’ll play a key part in this through excellent face‑to‑face service, efficient till operation, and effective stock control.
Main Duties:
- Process customer sales through the till / EPOS system
- Provide excellent face‑to‑face customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the shop area
- Stock shelves, label products, and replenish inventory as needed
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries
- Prepare hot beverages
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Carry out the sale of age‑restricted products in line with legal requirements
About You
We are looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Retail Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organised, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced retail environment.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
- Previous retail experience preferred, especially face‑to‑face
- Confidence in operating the till and handling both cash and card payments
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Strong attention to store presentation and stock rotation
- Experience receiving deliveries and managing stock
- Knowledge of operating a coffee machine is a bonus (training provided)
- Honest, punctual, and able to work under pressure
