The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Administrator to join our team. This part-time role is critical in ensuring that our products, processes, and business practices meet all relevant regulatory, environmental, and industry standards. You will work closely with production, quality, and management teams to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental and waste management regulations, working primarily to British Standard Institute regulations, notably B.S.I. PAS100 and FSC audits.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to organic materials, soil products, and waste handling.
- Develop, implement, and review company policies and procedures to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Conduct internal audits across production and distribution processes.
- Liaise with auditing bodies and manage inspections or audits.
- Accurate record-keeping and documentation for compliance purposes.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Investigate any compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
About You
- Proven experience in a compliance, regulatory, or environmental role (ideally within agriculture, horticulture, waste management, or manufacturing)
- Strong understanding of environmental regulation standards.
- Proven experience of completing the necessary audits, on time, in full.
- Excellent attention to structure, detail, and organisational skills.
- Confident communicator.
- Ability to interpret legislation and apply it practically within a business setting.
- Relevant qualifications in environmental science, compliance, or other related fields are desirable.
