Overview
Join our busy kitchen team as a part time Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant and play a vital role in helping us provide our guests with first class hospitailty.
This position is seasonal from September to the end of January and will include evenings and weekend shifts.
You will be supporting our chef and existing housekeeping staff by assisting with basic food preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
Training will be provided, previous experience is not essential.
This position is in a rural location and public transport is not available. Candidates are expected to make their own travel arrangements.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision
- Support the kitchen team in organizing supplies, stock rotation, and storage to ensure smooth operations
- Help with waste disposal and recycling to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen environment
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned, stored properly, and maintained according to safety protocols
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to promote a safe working environment for everyone
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential—training will be provided
- Being punctual and reliable with your time keeping.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive "can do" attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts including breakfasts, evenings, weekends
Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14.0 – 30.0 per week
