An ever-ambitious company, Associated Security specialises in the manufacture, distribution, installation & aftersales service of physical security products. An opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Depot Manager, playing a critical role running the day-to-day operations of our Thurrock Depot. The role focuses on leading the day-to-day operations of our depot, ensuring efficiency in logistics, stock control, and staff management to meet operational targets and customer satisfaction. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role requiring strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive approach to incident management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the depot, including managing facilities, equipment, and the cleanliness of the site.
· Logistics & Stock Management: Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods, manage inventory levels, and ensure products are available to meet customer demand.
· Staff Leadership: Recruit, motivate, develop, and manage depot staff, setting clear objectives, and fostering a high-performing team environment.
· Financial & Cost Control: Manage the depot's budget, ensure spending is within acceptable limits, and contribute to achieving sales and profit targets.
· Customer Service: Maintain high standards of customer service, handle complaints effectively, and build positive customer relationships.
· Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all staff.
· Reporting: Produce management reports, monitor performance, and deal with aspects of profit and loss (P&L) for the depot.
· Liaison: Work with sales, transport, and other internal teams to support business development and ensure timely deliveries.
