ELITE Decorating are looking for experienced, time-served Painters & Decorators to join a Summer School Refurbishment Programme across Scotland.
Locations: Edinburgh, Borders, and Clackmannanshire Duration: 6-week programme (July–August 2026) Rate: £18.00 per hour (Self-Employed – UTR required)

Role Responsibilities
- Deliver refurbishment work in schools and colleges
- Prepare surfaces, including filling, sanding, and making good
- Wash walls, repair imperfections, and remove old paint as needed
- Mix, match, and apply paints and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Maintain high-quality standards and adhere to site health and safety requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience (2+ years) or recognised painting and decorating qualification
- CSCS card preferred
- Experience in construction, refurbishment, or commercial projects
- Self-employed with valid UTR number
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Own transport beneficial due to multiple project locations
