Key responsibilities
· Promptly deal with enquiries - mostly emails and phone.
· Advise client on requirements and options.
· Discuss additional options – upsell if in client’s best interest.
· Process hires once confirmed - Sub-hire equipment if required.
· Ensure invoices are raised and payment is received before goods leave.
· Oversee equipment preps in conjunction with warehouse manager.
· Co-ordinate logistics for delivery and collection.
· Post-Hire:
o Ensure equipment and accessories are all returned and in good order – otherwise raise a Loss or Damaged note and take up with client.
o Get feedback, ensure that hire was satisfactory and came up to client expectations
· Spot new opportunities / Develop new markets and client accounts.
Key objectives
· Deliver Hire revenue targets
· Develop our client base and reach.
· Deliver impeccable standards of service
· Communicate effectively with other departments.
· Drive changes and improvements to existing processes.
· Build personal relationships with regular clients.
Expected to participate
· Sales drive / Marketing / Launch new services.
· New equipment selection / Introduce and develop new technologies at Halo.
· Future strategy and business development / Implementing a growth strategy
· When required going out to meet specific clients.
Skills and experience required
· Minimum 5 year track record in hires or event management.
· Wide ranging experience / knowledge of event technology: AV / Lighting / Sound / Staging / etc
· One or more rental packages / in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Customer facing environment.
· Experience in developing business.
Personal qualities required
· Ability to manage a team as well as work independently.
· Confident and friendly phone manners
· Passion for the event industry.
· Aptitude to focus on specifics while multi-tasking and attention to detail.
· Strong work ethic which includes punctuality
· Can do / will do attitude.
· Self-motivation / endless drive to improve systems.
· Drive to succeed and align personal ambitions with company objectives.
· Devotion to service.
