About the role
Loomies Moto Café is looking for an experienced, reliable and hands on Café Supervisor to support the day to day running of our busy motorcycle café.
This is an active role combining customer service, team supervision and food preparation. You will help lead the team during service, maintain high standards and ensure the café runs smoothly when senior management is not present.
Previous café or hospitality experience, cooking experience and your own reliable transport are essential.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising the café team during daily service
- Leading shifts and allocating tasks to team members
- Preparing and cooking breakfasts, burgers and other café food
- Maintaining consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
- Delivering friendly and efficient customer service
- Supporting, training and motivating team members
- Opening and closing the café when required
- Handling tills, cashing up and completing basic shift records
- Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Receiving and checking supplier deliveries
- Ensuring cleaning, food hygiene and health and safety procedures are followed
- Helping the team during busy services across the kitchen, counter and customer areas
- Dealing calmly and professionally with customer queries or complaints
- Reporting maintenance, staffing or operational issues to management
Essential requirements
- Previous experience working in a café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Previous supervisory, team leader or shift leader experience
- Practical cooking and food preparation experience
- Confidence leading a team during busy periods
- Good understanding of food hygiene and workplace safety
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable taking responsibility
- Fully flexible availability for shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm
- Availability to work weekends and bank holidays
- Your own reliable transport, as the café is in a rural location
Desirable
- Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene qualification
- Barista experience
- Experience opening and closing a hospitality venue
- Cashing up and stock control experience
