Kitchen Manager – New OpeningBreaking Brands / Brains - Brewery Quarter, Cardiff
£35,000–£37,000 per annum | 45 hours per week
We’re looking for an ambitious and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen of an exciting new sports bar concept in collaboration with Brains Brewery, located in the iconic Brewery Quarter in the heart of Cardiff.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand-new opening from day one, helping to shape the kitchen culture, build your own team, and deliver a menu that celebrates the very best of Welsh classics with a modern sports bar twist.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading all aspects of the kitchen operation.
- Recruiting, training and developing a high-performing kitchen team.
- Driving consistently high food standards and presentation.
- Managing stock, ordering and GP targets.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Creating an organised, positive and motivated kitchen environment.
- Working closely with the General Manager to deliver an exceptional guest experience, especially on busy match days and event nights.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience managing labour, stock control and kitchen finances.
- A calm approach under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for quality food and pride in showcasing Welsh produce and traditional dishes.
