Uptown Interiors is a specialist painting and decorating company working on high-end homes and commercial projects across London and the Home Counties. We're recommended applicators for Bauwerk Limewash and specialists in limewash, mineral and decorative paint finishes, the kind of work most decorators never get near. We're looking for two trainees to learn the trade properly, from prep and cutting in through to specialist finishes that very few people in the UK can do well.
What you'll get. Real training on real jobs from day one, alongside experienced decorators. You'll learn the fundamentals of the trade first, and as you progress, the specialist systems that set our work apart: limewash, textured mineral finishes and premium wallcoverings. For someone who takes it seriously, this is a genuine career path into one of the best-paid corners of the trade. Some of our projects are residential stays away from home; when we work away, accommodation is covered and you'll be earning while you learn on bigger jobs.
What we need from you. Your own transport and a willingness to travel to sites across London and Hertfordshire. A genuine appetite to learn; you don't need experience, but you do need to care about doing things properly. And reliability, which we mean seriously: our clients trust us in their homes and on their sites, and our small team depends on everyone showing up. Be on time, every day, ready to work. We're straight with people about this from the start, because repeated lateness or no-shows will end the opportunity quickly. The details. Full-time trainee role, with regular reviews as your skills grow. Based across London and Hertfordshire sites, occasional working away with accommodation paid.
