We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator (Trainee) to join our woodworking factory. Duties
- Assist in setting up and operating woodworking machinery
- Learn to programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing processes
- Use hand tools and tooling to perform basic assembly, material handling, and finishing tasks
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, ensuring proper storage and movement of stock
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to adhere to health and safety standards
- Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and quality checks
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Experience or knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and milling is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Proficiency with hand tools, materials handling, tooling, and assembly techniques preferred
- Good understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations
- Previous experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to learn quickly, follow instructions accurately, and work safely in a team setting

Pay: £21,840.00-£24,960.00 per year
